The Lottie & Bernice Show
Lottie – Cindy Cho
The Lottie & Bernice Show is my seventh Machickanee production. From my first performance in Reserve Two for Murder, to my most recent performance in Saving Grace, each and every show has been a wonderful experience. I have enjoyed making new friends and working with many very talented individuals. In addition to acting, I enjoy attending theatrical productions, traveling, reading, and of course, spending time with my family. I’d like to thank my husband for fending for himself and holding down the fort at home during the many nights that I have been busy with play practice. I’d like to thank all of you for attending this performance.
Bernice – Kathy Pierquet
This is my sixth show with the Machickanee Players. My past experience includes both High School Drama & Dance performances. I also have choreographed & produced several ballet recitals. I live in Coleman and I am married to Larry and we have a combined family of eight children, thirteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. I am a retired nurse and nutritionist. I would like to thank the Machickanee Players for “scratching my itch” to get back onstage and to Chris for his professionalism as a director as well as the rest of the cast for a great job presenting this hilarious show. Special thanks also to Larry for his patience and help with learning my lines.
Mr. Block – Joe Noel
I have been involved with the Machickanee Players since 2000. I have directed two plays, performed in fifteen plays and served on the Machickanee Players Executive Board. My roles on stage have ranged from playing an Ogre in “The Hobbit” to a modern version of Job in “God’s Favorite.” I have sung (poorly), danced (even worse), killed, maimed, assaulted, charmed, cried, broken bones (my own), prayed and completely lost it on stage. The only thing I haven’t done is nudity but I’m ready if the group ever decides to perform “The Full Monty.” I am the manager of the local Family Dollar and try to help out with the Bread by the Bay food pantry when I am able. My thanks to everyone who has taken the time to mention they have seen me perform or that they enjoyed the effort put in to produce our productions, your support is both humbling and appreciated. Finally I would urge anyone who is reading this to let this organization know how you feel about local theater. Whether it is ticket prices, the types of productions performed, the food and beverages, the condition of the venue, whatever, good or bad. The input of the community is essential to making this work, not just money or volunteer labor, but ideas. The Executive Board meets monthly and always encourages the general public to attend and share their thoughts. Without you, there is no Machickanee Players. Enjoy the Show.
Virgil Mooch – Chris Weis
This is my second show with the Machickanee Players, my first being “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged).” I have attended NWTC for Auto Tech and Renewable Resources. My parents are Russell & Kay Johnson whom I am happy to be doing this play with. I would like to thank the community for supporting us with your interest in live theater and to all those who keep the Park Avenue Playhouse up and running.
Candy Bickle – Chelsie Conigliaro
I’ve been a stage manager for the Machickanee Players for “Saving Grace” and “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).” I have been involved in the Oconto High School drama club for the past three years, making the sets and helping with prop construction/acquisition. I’ve also acted in the OHS Productions of “Night Chills” and “Agatha Christie Made me do it.” I am currently the 2nd youngest member of the cast and have been enjoying my involvement with The Machickanee Players and am looking forward to acting on stage again. I’d like to thank all of the cast & crew for dealing with me on a nightly basis. I’d also like to thank my family and friends for their patience and support.
Hal – Russ Johnson
I’ve had two stints as the sound and lights person for Machickanee Productions. They were last season’s “Nobody will hear you scream,” and this season’s “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged).” The last time I performed on stage was in high school, thirty-odd years ago. I wanted a new adventure in my life and acting with my family seemed to be the right choice for me at this time.
Sal – Kay Johnson
My debut with Machickanee Players was in 2007 with “Book of Murder.” In 2009, I was in “Catch Me if you Can,” then “Murder on the Rerun” (2010). I was cast in “Nobody will Hear you Scream” in my favorite role to-date but was not able to perform due to an illness. This is my fifth role on stage with Machickanee. I was assistant to the director of the last play, “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged).” It was a hoot! I live in Pulaski with my husband Russell and our crazy black cat. I am retired which allows me to babysit for our two grandchildren. This is a real joy! Thank you to Tammie McCarthy for encouraging me to get on stage and to become a Board Member with the Machickanee Players. Very special thanks to my husband who encourages me to experience life and shares it with me. Sharing the last two plays with both my husband and our son, Chris Weis, has been priceless!!
